6th International Thermal Spray and Hardfacing Conference was a two day event held in Wroclaw from 22nd to 23rd of September 2022. The conference was organized under the auspices of European Thermal Spray Association. 6th ITSHC originally postponed due to covid restrictions, as it was originally planned for 2021, to keep every-three-year routine.
6th ITSHC was an inspiring event, discussing purely scientific as well as industrial issues concerning thermal spraying and hardfacing. The additive manufacturing was also one of the important topics discussed under dedicated technical sessions.
More than 110 participants from Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, France, Sweden and Philippines were attending the conference, representing both, academia and industry.
The participants could enjoy two exciting invited talks given by the thermal spray Hall-of-Famers,
prof. Lech Pawlowski and prof. Shrikant Joshi. Then, the program included:
- short overview of industrial partners and sponsors (Hoganas, Fronius, Certech and Castolin) attending ITSHC,
- more than 40 oral presentations,
- almost 20 poster presentations,
- networking sessions and social activities (Odra river cruise and Gala Dinner),
- best poster awards.
